my story

I want to create art that inspires, comforts, and reminds people that we are never alone in our struggles no matter what it is that we are facing. We only need to change our mindset, tweak with our perspective and have the courage to practice a little introspection every now and then!

In a society that is overloaded with information and seems to grow busier and more chaotic, through my art I want to remind people of the benefits of being still, calm, completely present in this moment, and to remember that nothing is ever as is seems.

I’m a mixed media artist working under my artist name ‘therefore she is’. I underwent a major operation when I was young, and since then I’ve had ongoing health issues, my mental health has deteriorated, and as a result, I have developed depression and anxiety, making my life somewhat turbulent. This is why I feel that I need to share my experiences, and thoughts about everything I have learned along the way through experimenting with different holistic approaches to well-being, as well as my disappointing experiences with antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication.

Even though my health has been an immense source of physical and emotional pain, I would not be the person I am today nor would I have learned all the things that I have if not for the presence of this pain. It was the first reason why I adopted a vegan lifestyle, it is the main reason I have started to practice yoga and because of it I have so much more self-awareness now than ever before, I truly believe that there is always an opportunity to every challenge we face.

These days, my art is focused on well-being, mental health, and empowering the human soul, through the concepts of meditation, yoga and crystal healing. Much of my recent work is inspired by my experiences as a Reiki practitioner, I am currently training for Reiki Master Level.

My artwork has previously landed in art galleries held by Vevolution, a vegan company that promotes healthy eating, while raising awareness for animal cruelty, The Strand Gallery in central London, and The Holy Art Galley in London & Athens.
